Four forms of financial aid are available for students who qualify: - Stafford Loans are available and are not dependent on income or credit history to qualify.
- PLUS loans are available for parents of dependent students and parents may take out loans up to the total cost of attendance including housing. PLUS loans are income and credit based. If a parent is denied the PLUS loan, the the dependent student is able to borrow additional funds in their own name.
- The Pell Grant is also available (maximum of $5,350 per academic year, $10,700 for the entire program), but it is dependent on the student or parents demonstrating financial need.
- Finally, Alternative loans are available through both Wells Fargo and South Carolina Student Loan Corporation. Alternative loans are credit and income based.
