Because Professional Golfers Career College is a unique institution, students from all over the world find the college appealing.
There are two distinct ways in which international students can take part in the PGCC experience:
- International Students who are fluent in English
International students are, of course, welcome to enroll in the Professional Golf Management degree program. It should be noted, however, that all classes are taught in English, and that all students are expected to meet the same set of academic requirements regardless of their level of English proficiency if they choose this program. In order to prove sufficient English fluency, students are required to either: Take the TOEFL test and earn a score of 500 or higher; Have graduated from an English speaking high school or college; Or, be from a country where English is one of the primary languages.
- International Students who are not fluent in English
For those students who lack fluency in English, PGCC offers the International Golf Academy -- Remedial English and Golf (available at the Temecula, California campus only). This program provides students the opportunity to take remedial English classes* while honing their golf skills. The program varies in length, depending on the student’s progress toward fluency in English. Some students begin in the International Golf Academy and then, with greater English fluency, transfer to the Professional Golf Management degree program.
Tuition for the Remedial English and Golf program is $6,380.00 per semester.
* No college credit is given for these remedial English classes.
VISAS
American visas are issued to our international students for the full duration of their attendance at the college. The college issues the prospective student an I-20 letter, which the student then uses to obtain the M-1 visa, the standard visa for international students attending vocational colleges in the U.S.
